After coming back from one of the most important and avant-garde international fairs in the optics and eyewear industry, and still savouring the taste of success, the show SILMO Paris 2017, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, set the stage for Xavier Garcia Barcelona in the most sensational way possible.
For the seventh straight year, Xavier Garcia Barcelona presented the new Fall/Winter Collection 2017 at Silmo Paris, loaded with true Barcelona style with its Mix models, made of acetate and metal, and new acetate models.
New colours, laminates and textures that fit the main leitmotif of this brand-new selection like a glove: The Collage.
Models that have caught the eye of sales representatives, opticians and distributors, thanks to their finishes, lightweight materials, and most of all, the overall design of each of the pieces presented. Elegance and distinction were the two adjectives used by everyone who went to discover the new collection. The success and recognition achieved in international markets, due to the enthusiastic response to the new mix collection, which translates into an increase in sales in different countries around the world.
Xavier Garcia Barcelona has built closer ties with our international distributors, particularly with one of our major partners: Optidiff (France), as a result of the great collaboration between both of them and the success of team building efforts. The perfect occasion to consolidate business relationships among our distribution network.

This edition, SILMO Paris celebrated 50 years of history, and because of this, many events were held to commemorate all these unforgettable moments. What’s more, this year, this popular fair received a record number of visitors, reaching 37,337—a 10.5% increase in comparison to the previous year. Congratulations SILMO Paris!
And in addition to this figure, there’s the new president: Amélie Morel, communications manager for the company Morel, who embodies more than 130 years of know-how in the French eyewear industry.
With these wonderful and optimistic feelings, we wish to thank our customers (opticians, distributors) for visiting and the entire team of Xavier Garcia Barcelona, which lives and breathes the essence of the brand day after day. We thank each and every one of the people who make it possible for us to convey the true Barcelona style that makes us so distinctive.
